Mission Statement
When the Creeks Rise is a community journalism project about flooding in Atlanta. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive record that shows how policy decisions, development patterns, and underinvestment cause flooding that disproportionately harms vulnerable neighborhoods. Through community stories and accessible coverage of public meetings, we aim to empower residents with the information and tools needed to advocate for equitable infrastructure change in their communities.
